Examples of Bang & Olufsen TV models without HDMI input socket:
Beocenter 6*
Beovision 6**
Beovision 7-32***
Beovision 7-40****
To obtain the best possible picture resolution, we recommend using the TV's DVI input. This will require an HDMI to DVI converter with analogue audio extractor.
To connect the converter to the TV, you will also need an HDMI to DVI cable as well as a stereo minijack to 2 x RCA audio cable.
The below image shows the required connections on a Beovision 7:
After connecting the cables, the connection must be set up in the TV settings menu.
On the Beo4 remote control: Press the MENU button, select Options - Connections - AV4.
Adjust the settings as shown below:
There are a few different source name options depending on TV model and specifications.
Some of the above-mentioned TV models are not HD-ready from factory*****, and here it is only possible to select PC as source. This means that you do not need to make changes in the TV settings menu. You select the DVI input by pressing LIST on Beo4 until PC is shown in the display and then pressing GO.
How to add a source to the Beo4 remote list
Press and hold the standby button. Press shortly on LIST and let go of both buttons.
ADD? is now displayed.
Press GO.
Press LIST repeatedly until the source you wish to add is shown – then press GO.
