What does the proximity sensor on Beolab 8 do?

beolab 8 banner.png

When your hand approaches the top interface, the built-in capacitive sensor will make the touch buttons light up. They will remain lit for approximately 15 seconds after the last interaction.

The brightness of the buttons will automatically adjust to the light level in the surroundings.

How to enable/disable the proximity sensor

  • Select your product in the Bang & Olufsen app
  • Go to Product settings
  • Select Proximity sensor
  • Toggle the switch to enable/disable the sensor.

When disabled, the touch buttons will only light up when touched.
