Can I connect Beoplay Portal to a computer?

Yes, in general Beoplay Portal can connect to computers without any issues by using the Microsoft Swift Pair feature. However, if you experience connection issues with your computer or your Bluetooth signal drops, you can purchase the Xbox wireless adapter (USB-dongle) for Windows to use your Beoplay Portal wirelessly with any PC or tablet running Windows 10 or above, without having to perform any Bluetooth setup or pairing. Some computers also have Microsoft wireless technology built in. In this case you will not need a dongle.

You can also connect your Beoplay Portal via 3.5 mm mini jack or the USB-C charging cable to potentially any device, no matter if it is for gaming or for traditional use.

Using Line-in has its pros and cons. Latency is of course minimal when using Line-in, and low latency is highly relevant for gaming. Line-in connection can also be used to connect Beoplay Portal with other gaming platforms. Just be aware that connecting a source to the 3.5 mm mini jack will drain the headphones’ battery. Therefore, the best wired connection solution for gaming would be using USB-C as this allows you to charge your Beoplay Portal while gaming or streaming. When connected through USB-C cable, both Bluetooth and Xbox connection are always available, meaning you will always be ready to game.

Beoplay Portal also support MFi and Google Fast Pair.
