How do I prevent burn-in on my OLED screen?

BVHarmonyb1.jpg

Burn-in or image retention may cause irreparable damage to an OLED screen.

Below are different scenarios that may result in burn-in:

- Video clips showing e.g. a fireplace for many hours with very high light intensities which are concentrated on a small area of the screen.
- Staying on the same TV channel with a stationary channel logo or news ticker.
- Placing the TV in a very bright area like a spotlight or direct sunlight.

Allowing the TV to enter standby for at least 15 minutes will initiate a maintenance cycle of the screen which helps minimise the risk of burn-in.
Also, we recommend using mixed content and sources and not disabling "Screen shift" in the Picture settings menu.
