Can several devices share one Beoplay A2?

A2b2.png

The Beoplay A2 remembers up to 8 Bluetooth pairings, so as soon as an already paired device is within range, the device can play on the speaker.

Two devices can be connected at a time and take turns in playing on the speaker.

When a connected device plays music on the speaker, and you connect a second paired device to the speaker and start playing, music on the speaker switches to the music from the second device. For the first device to take back control of the Beoplay A2, the user must press play on the first device again.

Notifications on your smartphone are heard as sound prompts on the speaker, these notifications are perceived as music by the speaker and the device sending the sound will take over control of the speaker. Therefore, you may experience that the music is interrupted. To make sure that the notifications do not disturb you while listening to music, you should silence your smartphone.
