Yes, you can connect a 3rd party source to the Line-in socket on Beoplay A9 4th Gen.
Be aware that if connecting to a 3rd party TV, there is a small sound delay, and therefore sound and image are not completely synchronised.
Please note that Beoplay A9 4th Gen with Google Assistant built-in does not include the option to disable Line-in delay. Therefore, we advise against connecting to a 3rd party TV.
To disable/enable line-in delay on compatible speakers using the Bang & Olufsen app:
- Open the Bang & Olufsen app
- Tap the "Settings" icon in the upper-right corner
- Tap: Settings
- Tap "Products"
- Tap your Beoplay A9 4th Gen
- Tap "Configure"
- Tap "Sound"
- Select Line-in and tick "Disable Delay"
Note: If the delay is disabled, you cannot distribute sound from the Line-in input in a Beolink Multiroom setup.
To listen to the sound from a TV or sound system connected to Line-in, you must start playback on the connected device for Beoplay A9 4th Gen to detect the audio signal.
