You can make your television find your TV channels and radio stations for you. Channels and stations are updated automatically, but it is also possible to update manually. Depending on your service provider, some settings are made automatically.
- Press to bring up the Home menu.
- Use the arrow buttons to select Settings and press the centre button.
- Press or to select Picture & Programmes... and press the centre button.
- Press or to select Programmes and press the button.*
- Press or to select a menu item and press the centre button.
- Follow on-screen instructions.
* On some markets, Programmes is called Channels.
Automatic tuning
Auto Tuning is found in the Programme Tuning (Programme Tuning & Settings) menu. On some markets Programme Tuning is called Channel Tuning. Depending on the market, you may have to make a few settings, before automatic tuning can begin, or you may have to scan channels and select receiving band. For information about scanning channels and receiving bands, see 'Channel scan and receiving bands' below in this article. For information about automatic tuning settings, LG describes:
Automatically tunes the programmes.
- Select Country where the TV is used. Programme settings change depending on the country you choose.*
- Initiate Auto Tuning.
- Select programme tuning modes.*
- Set Auto Tuning following screen instructions.
- If Input Source is not connected properly, programme registration may not work.
- Auto Tuning only finds programmes that are currently broadcasting.
- If Safety is turned on, a pop-up window will appear asking for password.
* This step only applies to some markets.
Set Cable Setting
When searching for programmes using FULL setting it can take a long time.
The following values are needed in order to search all available programmes quickly and correctly. The commonly used values are provided as “default”.

Select your desired Satellite.LNB Frequency
Select one value from 9750/10600, 9750/10750, 9750, 10600, 10750, 11300, 5150, MDU1, MDU2, MDU3, MDU4, MDU5. If you select 9750/10600, 9750/10750(MHz), 22kHz Tone is disabled. If you cannot find the LNB frequency value from the list, select User and manually enter the frequency.

Transponder
Select the transponder you want to tune.22kHz Tone
When using 22kHz Tone switch, select 22kHz or 0 Hz. If you use 22kHz Tone, Unicable and Motor Type are disabled.LNB Power
To enable the power supply for the LNB, select On. If you select Off, Motor Type is disabled.DiSEqC
When using DiSEqC, select one option from A~D/Tone A~B. If you use DiSEqC, Unicable and Motor Type are disabled.Unicable
Select On to use Unicable and set the Unicable in the Unicable Settings menu. When Unicable is enabled, 22kHz Tone, DiSEqC, Motor Type are disabled.Motor Type
Select Motor Type to use Motor and set the Motor in the Motor Setting menu. When Motor is enabled, 22kHz Tone, DiSEqC, Unicable are disabled.
- If you set satellite to others, you must add a transponder using Transponder Edit.
- When selecting 22kHz Tone and DiSEqC, you must connect them in the same position as displayed on the OSD.
- If you delete a Satellite, all programmes stored in the Satellite are deleted.
*Note that satellite settings are only available on some markets.
Set Motor Setting*

Drive Direction
Select the direction in which you want to move the motor.Drive Mode
Two modes are available : Step and Continuous.
- Step : The motor moves based on the value you enter (from 1 to 128).
- Continuous : The motor moves continuously until you press the Stop.
Test Transponder
Select the test Transponder you want to tune.Set Limit
Set the motor movement to east or west to have the motor move only within the direction set.
- On : You can limit the movement to the current direction by selecting the West/East.
- Off : You can cancel the limit you set.
GO TO 0
You can move the motor to Zero.USALS : Set your current location (Longitude/Latitude).

Channel scan and receiving bands
This feature only applies to some markets. Auto Tuning is found in the Channel Tuning menu. For information about tuning channels for terrestrial digital broadcasting, LG describes:
To watch terrestrial digital broadcasts, you need to tune channels through Channel Tuning. You can scan channels in a selected receiving band using a specified search method.
Scan Types
Initial Scan
This method scans channels after initializing the channel information of terrestrial digital broadcasting.Rescan
This method scans channels simultaneously checking changed/added channels from the existing terrestrial digital broadcast channel information.Receiving Band
UHF
This option exclusively scans channels in the UHF band. If you have an antenna dedicated for terrestrial digital broadcasting connected, scanning can be completed quickly.All Bands
If you subscribe to cable TV, etc., this option selects All Bands.
(VHF 1-12, UHF 13-62 and CATV C13-C63)
- Please make sure to set your location before scanning channels.*
- In the case of terrestrial digital broadcasting, Initial Scan is performed so that the broadcasters that suit each area can be allocated.
- Channel numbers may change depending on the broadcasters' circumstances.
- If a new broadcast has commenced in your area, select Rescan.
- A notification message is sent from digital broadcasting about new broadcasts in your area.**
- If you move to a new home or otherwise change location, change your location settings and select Initial Scan.
- If Safety is enabled, enter the password first.
*Location is set when you press , select Settings, Picture & Programmes, General and then Location.
**You can check such messages when you press , select Settings, Picture & Programmes, Channels, Message and then Download Mail.
Manual tuning
Manual Tuning is found in the Programme Tuning (Programme Tuning & Settings) menu. On some markets, Programmes and Programme Tuning are called Channels and Channel Tuning. For information about manual tuning, LG describes:
Adjusts programmes manually and saves the results.
For digital broadcasting, signal strength can be checked.
On some markets, you can also check the signal quality.
Manual tuning is available for some markets only.
Edit transponders
Transponder Edit is found in the Programme Tuning & Settings menu. For information about editing transponders, LG describes:
You can add/modify/delete a transponder.
- If the programme mode is set to Satellite
- If the System Operator provides 'user home TP edit' feature, it will show the Transponder to Home on the screen.*
So that you can set the desired Transponder as Home by pressing the Transponder to Home.

Regional programme
Regional Programme is found in the Programme Tuning (Programme Tuning & Settings) menu. For information about the regional programme, LG describes:

- To set Service Operator of Satellite, AKTIV must be selected.
- To turn on Regional Programme, set Service Operator to AKTIV.

Update the programme list

Signal test

Programme/channel manager
On some markets, you can edit the selected programmes from all the stored programmes or add/delete them to/from the favourite programmes. On some markets, you can set programmes to be skipped when you switch between programmes. Note that not all features apply to all markets, and on some markets, Programme Manager is called Channel manager.

Edit All Programmes List
You can lock or unlock the selected programmes from all the stored programmes, or you can set them to be skipped when switching programmes.
- Set the sorting option.
- Lock the selected programmes or unlock the locked programmes.
- Set the selected programmes to be skipped when switching programmes, or disable the skipping option of the programmes previously set to be skipped.
- Move the selected programmes.
- Change number : Change the numbers of the selected programmes.
Delete : Delete the selected programmes.
- Available features may vary depending on the broadcast signal.
- For a model that supports satellite programmes, you can manage the satellite programmes in Edit Satellite Programmes (Advanced).
Edit Favourite Programmes List
You can add/delete desired programmes to/from the favourite programmes, change their positions, etc.
- Select the desired programmes from the all programmes list and press the button to add them to the favourite programmes list.
- Delete the selected programmes from the favourite programmes list.
- Select two programmes from the favourite programmes list, then press the button to swap their positions.
- Change the name of the favourite programmes list.
Skip channels
You can set channels that will be skipped when you switch between channels using the Up and Down buttons.
- Select your desired channel group (terrestrial/BS/CS1/CS2) and press OK.
- Select your desired channel and press the (OK) button to confirm.
- Select , SKIP, RESTORE. The channels you set to be skipped will be displayed in grey.
Note that on some markets programmes are referred to as channels instead.
Not all functions listed are available on all markets.
If you have set up Internet channels, you can also lock them, set them to be skipped, or add them to the favourite channels list. This feature only applies to some markets.
Programme/channel advisor

If you set Programme Advisor to On, you can get channel or programme recommendations from Live TV based on your viewing history.
On some markets, Programme Advisor is called Channel Advisor.
Multi Feed

HbbTV

HbbTV (Hybrid Broadcast Broadband TV) is a new broadcasting standard that enables super-teletext type services, delivered by a broadcast TV programme, to be integrated or linked to online services delivered over broadband to a connected Smart TV.
- This feature is only available on certain models in certain countries, i.e. those countries that have formally launched HbbTV services.

Data Service/MHEG
For information about settings for Data Service, LG describes:
This function allows users to choose between MHEG (Digital Teletext) and Teletext if both exist at the same time.
If only one of them exists, either MHEG or Teletext is enabled regardless of which option you selected.

Save CI password
For information about saving the CI password, LG describes:
Input the Pin Code in Save CI Password. You don't need to input the Pin Code after saving it.
- You can see the Save CI Password when you insert a CI CAM (Conditional Access Module) which is supported by Pin Code.
- If CI CAM has a Pin code, you can see the Reset CI Password.

Copy Programmes

Audio language
On some markets, you can set an audio language in the Audio language menu. Available features may vary depending on the input signal.
Broadcast messages

This is a feature that displays mails and other messages sent by broadcasters.
- If a mail received is unopened, an unread mail icon is displayed to the right of the channel banner.
Antenna settings
This feature is found in the Channel Tuning menu and is available for some markets only. For information about antenna settings, LG describes:

On : If you are using a separate antenna to receive signals, enabling this option lets power be shared from your TV to the antenna.
Off : In the case of community reception such as in houses with multiple TV rooms, enable this option when power is shared from a device other than this product.
- When setting an antenna, be careful not to create a short circuit between the power cord and the connecting area. If a short circuit occurs, a message is displayed.
- In this case, remove the power plug from the power outlet, correct the cause of the short circuit and connect the power plug to the power outlet again.
Transponder
You can specify a transponder that checks the reception level.Signal Strength
You can select the signal strength for Terrestrial DTV and Satellite, respectively. You can also check the Levels of broadcast frequencies.
If the status of the signal received is inadequate, the signal is possibly not being received normally. In this case, adjust the direction of your antenna in such a way that maximizes its Level, or check the antenna's connection status (connected/distributed/mixed, etc.).
B-CAS card
This feature is available in some markets only. For information about B-CAS cards, LG describes:
You can check your B-CAS card's Card Number, Card ID Number and Group ID Number on your TV without the need to remove your B-CAS card.
- Card ID Number when making inquiries.
- Group ID Number may not be displayed.
