Safety settings

In the Safety menu, you can make set up locks to limit access to, for example, programmes and applications.

  1. Press mceclip5.png to bring up the Home menu.
  2. Use the arrow buttons to select Settings and press the centre button.
  3. Press mceclip10.png or mceclip11.png to select  Picture & Programmes...  and press the centre button.
  4. Press mceclip10.png or mceclip11.png to select Safety and press the mceclip13.png button.
  5. Press mceclip10.png or mceclip11.png to select a menu item and press the centre button.
  6. Follow on-screen instructions.

TV rating locks*

For information about TV rating locks, LG describes:

This function operates according to information from the broadcasting station. Therefore if the signal has incorrect information, this function does not operate.
Prevents children from watching certain adult’s TV programmes, according to the ratings limit set. Enter a password to watch a blocked programme. Rating differs by country.

Supported only in the digital mode.

The initial password is set as "0000".
When France is selected for Country, password is not "0000" but "1234".

In the Safety menu, set Safety to On and select the TV Rating Locks.*

*This feature is available for some markets only. On other markets, the TV Rating Locks feature is called TV Program Locks instead.

Programme locks

For information about programme locks, LG describes:

Blocks the programmes that contain inappropriate contents for children. The programmes can be selected but the screen is blank and the audio is muted. To watch a locked programme, enter the password.

The initial password is set as "0000".
When France is selected for Country, password is not "0000" but "1234".

In the Safety menu, set Safety to On and select Programme Locks. Then select the programmes to lock followed by the Programme Lock icon and select LOCK. On some markets programmes and Programme Locks are called channels and Channel Locks.

Application locks

For information about application locks, LG describes:

You can lock or unlock the application.

The initial password is set as "0000".
When France is selected for Country, password is not "0000" but "1234".

The lock function is not immediately available for the currently running application.

In the Safety menu, set Safety to On, select Application Locks and select the applications to lock.

Input locks

This feature is available in some markets only. For information about input locks, LG describes:

You can lock or unlock the Input Locks.

The initial password is set as "0000".
When France is selected for Country, password is not "0000" but "1234".

In the Safety menu, set Safety to On, select Input Locks and select the inputs to lock.

Reset password

For information about the safety password, LG describes:

Set or change the password for the TV.

The initial password is set as "0000".
When France is selected for Country, password is not "0000" but "1234".
