Status LED (on top of the product in the middle of the touch plate):
| White (shortly) | Switched on. When operated |
| White flashing slowly | Charging the battery |
| Red solid | The battery capacity between 0 – 10 % (needs charging) |
| Red flashing fast | The battery capacity below 2% (will soon switch off) Hardware error |
Note that when battery capacity drops below 10%, sound volume is lowered. When capacity drops below 2%, Beosound 1 switches off.
Lens LED (in the middle, under the touch plate):

| White solid | Connected to network, ready for use |
| Blue solid | When not configured to network and not in configuration mode |
| Amber flashing fast | Ready for network setup. Soft AP / WAC mode. |
| Amber flashing slowly | Connecting to the network |

| Red solid | Wireless connection of poor quality |
| Red flashing | fast Failed to connect to a wireless network |
