How do I disable the proximity sensor on my Beoplay H8i?

H8ib2.png

The proximity sensor is a feature that detects the placement of the headphones and automatically pauses the playback of your music or video when you remove the headphones from your head.

If you wish to disable this feature, please follow the steps below:

  1. mceclip0.png 1

    Initiate Bluetooth pairing

    • Press and hold the middle button on the right headphone for 5 seconds to initiate Bluetooth pairing. Release the button when a sound is heard and the indicator flashes blue. Select the Beoplay H8i in the Bluetooth settings on your device.

    Disable the proximity sensor

    • Double-tap the Play/Pause centre button (with the dot).

The indicator light will turn red, which indicates that the proximity sensor is deactivated

If you wish to activate the proximity sensor again, you just have to follow the same steps above. The indicator light will turn green to indicate that the proximity sensor is enabled.
