The touchpad is the area around the B&O logo of each earphone as shown in the picture below (J).

The touchpad is always active once the earphones are removed from the charging case. To prevent triggering commands unintentionally, place the earphones in the charging case when not in use. During a software update, place the earphones in a position where nothing comes in direct contact with the touchpad.
