Beosound A1 2nd Gen does not switch on, or the buttons stopped working. What can I do?

A hardware reset can often solve an issue where Beosound A1 2nd Gen has stopped responding. In order to perform a hardware reset, insert the USB-C cable and connect it to a PC or power supply while simultaneously pressing and holding the power button until the light indicator on the top turns on.
