Why can I only switch on or off my Beosound A1 2nd Gen by connecting or disconnecting the USB cable?

Beosound A1 2nd Gen can be set in a mode which intended for use for e.g. display purposes. In this "display mode", only the USB cable can be used to switch the speaker on and off.

Display mode is enabled by following the below steps:

1. Press the power button shortly to switch on your Beosound A1 2nd Gen.
2. Press the volume up (+) and the volume down (-) buttons at the same time for 10 seconds.
3. The light indicator will start flashing white quickly. Your Beosound A1 2nd Gen will switch off.
4. To switch on your Beosound A1 2nd Gen, connect the USB cable, which needs to be connected to power. Disconnecting the USB cable will switch off your Beosound A1 2nd Gen

To disable display mode:

1. Connect the USB cable to your Beosound A1 2nd Gen.
2. Press the volume up (+) and the volume down (-) buttons at the same time for 10 seconds.
3. The light indicator will start flashing white quickly.
4. When disconnecting the USB cable, your Beosound A1 2nd Gen will remain switched on.
