The Beoplay A8 is delivered from the factory in 'Option 5'. This means that it reacts to commands from the Beo4 and Beo5/Beo6. Your BeoPlay A8 can use 3 different 'Option' settings:

| Option 5 | Beolit 12/Beoplay A8/Beoplay A9 can be operated with Beo4 and Beo5/Beo6 also. | Beolit 12/Beoplay A8/Beoplay A9 is placed in a room with a video product or alone. |
Option programming with Beo4:
- While holding the • button on Beo4, press LIST.
- Let go of both buttons.
- Press LIST and use the navigation button up or down to bring up OPTION? in the Beo4 display and press the centre button.
- Press LIST and use the navigation button up or down to bring up A.OPT in the Beo4 display and enter the appropriate number (0, 4 or 5).
Option programming with Beo5/Beo6:
- While holding the • button, press the centre button to bring up the SETUP menu on Beo5/Beo6.
- Let go of both buttons.
- Press Option Pgm to bring up the Option Programming display on Beo5/Beo6.
- Press the button that matches the zone in which the audio system is placed, for example, Audio Area.
