A lithium-ion rechargeable battery has a specific number of charges. If you drain up your battery completely every time you use a product, you can expect approximately 400 charges before the capacity goes below 80% compared to its original. However, a partial discharge reduces stress and prolongs battery life. Hence, if you do not discharge the battery completely, the charges can go up to several thousand cycles. Therefore we recommended to charging your Beolit 20 only when necessary, for example every second day and storing it in normal room temperature when not in use.
Make sure to keep your Bang & Olufsen product out of direct sunlight to prevent the battery from overheating, both when using and storing the product.
Make sure to charge the battery so that the battery level is not low a longer period of time (weeks/months). The preferred battery level before storage is about 60-70%.
Avoid charging your product too often. In general, rechargeable batteries perform best when kept between 20% and 80% battery charge.
