If Beoplay A3 is in battery mode when you dock your iPad, Beoplay A3 is still in standby. You must press the standby button to switch on Beoplay A3 and wait a short while until the sound is played through the Beoplay A3. Make sure that there is light in the battery indicator.
Also, make sure that your iPad is docked correctly in Beoplay A3.
