Why am I hearing a high-pitched noise in my Beo Grace?

Beo Grace Header.png

If you are experiencing a high-pitched noise when using your earphones, this may be caused by a Bluetooth connection issue. If the issue occurs with other devices also, however, the reason may be a blocked ANC microphone on one or both earphones.
This may cause the following issues:

  • Feedback loop
The microphone misinterprets ambient or internal sounds, creating a feedback loop which causes a whistling noise.
  • ANC malfunction
The ANC feature overcompensates or misprocesses sounds.
  • Pressure imbalance
The earphones' air pressure handling is affected, causing whistling or popping noise.

Cleaning is key
Remove the ear tips and locate the ANC microphone holes. Clean them using a soft brush, e.g. a children's toothbrush, and a dry cloth to ensure that nothing is blocking the microphone. Avoid using liquids.
