How do I distribute AirPlay audio via Beolink Multiroom?

Once enabled, you can Airplay to the Connected Audio speaker and then join with a touch on the speaker or by using a remote control, or you can use the Bang & Olufsen app to expand the music to other rooms.

When enabling AirPlay distribution, please note that there are the following differences in behaviour between the two generations:

 

All Mozart-based products
Mozart is Bang & Olufsen’s software platform, introduced in 2020, designed to be updated, improved and built on for years to come

  1. Open the Bang & Olufsen app
  2. Tap the settings icon in the upper-right corner
  3. Tap "Products"
  4. Select the product you wish to distribute AirPlay from
  5. Tap "BeoLink"
  6. Ensure that both Beolink and AirPlay are enabled

If you have multiple Bang & Olufsen products, and you wish to enable AirPlay distribution from all of them, you need to enable the feature in each one of them individually.

 

Connected Audio speakers launched before 2020:

  1. Open the Bang & Olufsen app
  2. Tap the settings icon in the upper-right corner
  3. Tap "Products"
  4. Select the product you wish distribute AirPlay from
  5. Tap "Configure"
  6. Tap "Settings"
  7. Tap "Beolink"
  8. Tap "Sound synchronisation" and then "Enable Multiroom for AirPlay"
  9. Tap the "Change" button to save the setting
