There are two ways of using multiroom with Google Cast.
It is possible to create a static group, that will start playback on all speakers belonging to the group at once. Alternatively, you can use dynamic grouping where you can select one speaker and later add other speakers to the group using the Google Home app. Both methods are described below.
Static speaker groups:

Open the Google Home app
Ensure that all your Google Cast compatible devices are added to the Google Home app
Press the '+' at the top of the screen

Create speaker group
Select 'Create speaker group'

Select the speakers
Select the speakers you wish to include in the static speaker group

Enter a name for the group
Enter a name for the group. This is the name that will be visible in your Google Cast compatible apps.

Start playing music
Simply open your favourite music app and start playing content
Locate the Google Cast icon and select the speaker group
Dynamic speaker groups:
To use dynamic Google Cast speaker groups, your product must support Google Cast version 1.44 or higher.

Start playing music
Simply open your favourite music app and start playing content
Locate the Google Cast icon and select a Google Cast speaker that should be part of the dynamic speaker group
Alternatively, start playing music by using a Google Assistant voice command

Open the Google Home app
Tap the 'Media' button

Select the speakers
Select the speakers that you wish to include in the dynamic speaker group
