How do I use Siri with Connected Audio speakers?

After completing a few steps, you can voice control AirPlay speakers using Apple’s voice assistant Siri via your iPhone or iPad.

Before AirPlay speakers can be controlled by Siri, they need to be added to Apple's Home app.

See this article How do I add AirPlay speakers to the Apple Home app?

Once your speakers are added to rooms in the Apple Home app, you can start playing music by saying for example:

"Hey Siri, play the Beatles on Living room speaker".

Your device may ask which service you would like to use and when specified, you will be prompted once for permission to access your data.

Examples of voice commands:

"Hey Siri..."

  • "Next"
  • "Pause"
  • "Play music in the Living Room and Kitchen"
  • "Add music in the Bedroom."
  • "Move music to the Dining Room"
  • "Play music everywhere"
  • "Set the volume to 40% in the Living Room"
