Considering that Beoplay Portal PC PS are also used for conversations, a feature called Own Voice has been added. With the Own Voice feature, you can control the amount of microphone input routed back into your headphones, enabling you to adjust the level of your own voice. Basically, you can choose how much of your own voice and surroundings you want to hear and how much you want blocked out. Since this feature is mainly only focused on conversations, it is available in your Beoplay Portal PC PS when the microphones are active.
When using Beoplay Portal PC PS for gaming or calls, connected via dongle or Bluetooth, the left touch bar lets you choose between Own Voice (swipe up) and ANC (swipe down). The Bang & Olufsen app lets you adjust the levels for ANC/Transparency/Own Voice and mute the microphones. They can also be muted directly on the headphones.
When the microphones are muted, this is indicated on the product page in the Bang & Olufsen app, and the product indicator next to the Power button turns solid red.
