banner3.png

The iOS feature Shortcuts allows you to activate a sequence of commands with a single tap. Shortcuts can be accessed from your mobile device or through Siri voice control.
You can create as many Shortcuts as you like.

Note: Connected Audio products launched in 2020 or later can be selected as the primary product.

How to create a Shortcut

1

The 'Shortcuts' app is installed on iOS devices by default.

Open the app.

2

To add a new Shortcut, tap the '+' icon in the upper-right corner.

To edit an existing Shortcut, tap 'Edit' and then select the Shortcut.

3

Scroll down and select 'Bang & Olufsen'.

4

Select the action you want the Shortcut to execute.

5

Tap the text fields marked in blue to modify the values.

In this example, the 'Living room' speaker activates Favourite button 1 and expands the experience to two additional products.

It then adjusts the lights in the house and activates the Focus mode on the mobile device.

To test the sequence, tap the 'Play' icon in the lower-right corner.

To save, tap the '<' icon in the upper-left corner.

A Shortcut can be activated from the 'Shortcuts' app or by using Siri: "Hey Siri, <name of the Shortcut>".

Adding a Shortcut to the Home Screen

1

To gain easy access to a Shortcut on the mobile device, you can add it to the Home Screen.

Open the Shortcut in edit mode and tap the 'i' icon at the bottom of the page to access the Shortcut details.

2

Tap 'Add to Home Screen'.

Note: From the Details page, you can also set the Shortcut to be shown on your Apple Watch.

3

Select the appearance of the button.

You can select a background colour and a symbol. Alternatively, an image can be used as the button icon.

Tap 'Add' to finish.

4

The Shortcut is now added to the Home Screen.

Tap the button to activate the Shortcut.

Activate a Shortcut based on an automation

1

The Shortcuts app also allows you to create automations that activate Shortcuts based on different triggers exposed by the mobile device.

At the bottom of the Shortcuts app, select 'Automation'.

2

Select the trigger that should activate the Shortcut.

In the following example, the 'Coming Home' Shortcut is set to activate when the iOS device arrives at the set address between 14.00 and 18.00.

3

Set the parameters for the trigger.

Tap 'Next' to continue.

4

Select the Shortcut that should be activated by the trigger.

5

The automation has now been stored.

Note: Shortcuts that include Bang & Olufsen commands require your iPhone to be connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Bang & Olufsen products.
