What happens if the Bang & Olufsen app is not used for setup of my Beolab 8?

To get the full Bang & Olufsen experience, we recommend setting up using the Bang & Olufsen app, which lets you to enable Power Link/Wireless Power Link, automatic software update, set up stereo pair, make advanced sound settings and also provides easy access to support.

If you wish to set up your product without using the Bang & Olufsen app, you can follow the steps described below:

On your device, go to the Wi-Fi settings.
Connect to the network created by the product: "Product name-serial number".
Open a browser window and enter: 192.168.255.249
Scroll down and select your Wi-Fi network in the dropdown field. Enter the password and tap 'Connect'.
'Status' changes to 'Connected', and your product is now connected to your Wi-Fi network.
