RoomSense is our automated loudspeaker setup feature, where we use two built-in microphones in Beosound/Beovision Theatre in conjunction with the supplied external microphone.
By sending a measurement tone from each output channel, Beosound/Beovision Theatre first determines the listening position from the placement of the external microphone and then assigns the appropriate Speaker Roles before applying optimised Distance and Level values for each loudspeaker.
On top of that, it applies a compensation filter to all output channels that takes the speakers' positions in the room and the room resonance into account to optimise the entire system to your listening room.
